Lesson in progress
A block slides down a frictionless 30° ramp. Find a.
1
Draw the free-body diagram
2
Along the ramp: mg sin 30° = ma
3
a = 9.8 × 0.5
a = 4.9 m/s² down the ramp

MY APPROACH
How I teach physics.
University physics is about turning a word problem into the right equations. That’s a skill we can train.

01
Picture the problem
Every problem starts with a diagram, like a free-body diagram or circuit, so you can see what’s happening.
02
From principles to equations
We start from core ideas like Newton’s laws and conservation of energy, and set up the math from there instead of hunting for formulas.
03
Exam-style practice
We work through problem sets and past exams, and focus on the steps where marks are usually lost.
COURSES I TUTOR
Find your course.
Course names and codes are different at every school. If your course covers these topics, I can help. Not sure? Send me your course outline.
Topics include kinematics, Newton’s laws, work and energy, momentum, rotation, oscillations, waves, fluids, electric fields, circuits and magnetism.
WHAT WE WORK ON
Lessons built around what you need right now.
Problem sets
Work through the assignment questions you’re stuck on, so you learn the method and can finish the rest yourself.
Midterms and finals
Practice with exam-style questions and a clear plan for what to review.
Lecture catch-up
Fallen behind? We turn weeks of slides into what you actually need to know.
Filling gaps
Rebuild the earlier topics your course assumes you already know.
Study strategies
The study and exam methods behind my 3.99 GPA, adapted to you.
Confidence
Walk into every exam knowing you’ve practised exactly what’s on it.
